The Senior Specialist, Business Development M&A supports the full cycle of inorganic growth activity within the energy company's trading and downstream ecosystem. This covers deal origination through to execution, including joint ventures and strategic partnerships.

• Originating and screening M&A, joint venture, and partnership opportunities relevant to the trading and downstream business
• Conducting financial and commercial evaluation of potential transactions
• Supporting due diligence processes across target assets or entities
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, and technical functions during deal execution
• Preparing investment papers, business cases, and approval documentation
• Monitoring market developments in the downstream and trading sectors to identify new opportunities
• Background in M&A, corporate finance, or business development within the energy, oil and gas, or downstream sector
• Experience supporting or executing transactions including joint ventures and investments
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• Familiarity with downstream value chains, trading operations, or related commercial structures
• Ability to produce clear, concise investment analysis and board-level documentation
• Degree in finance, engineering, economics, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or CFA likely advantageous
• Based in or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi
