Global hedge fund is hiring an AVP / VP, Portfolio Manager, Managers - Equities based in New York.
External Managers Department We embrace an active investing approach for funds under external management to outperform public market benchmark indices.
this role?
The Equities team in External Managers oversees equity hedge strategies and benchmark relative portfolios across various geographies globally.
- You will be part of the global hedge fund internal investment function where we award investment directives to external fund managers whose ability complements our own capabilities.
- You will be given the opportunity to partner with outstanding investment managers to capture market opportunities around the world.
- We also develop strategic relationships with the investment industry to benefit global hedge fund at large.
- Conduct fund manager due diligence, selection, monitoring, and portfolio construction.
- Help manage portfolios of hedge fund and long-only managers, and source ideas from those exchanges.
- Working at global hedge fund gives you exposure to an extraordinary network of the world’s industry leaders.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses on investments, strategies, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional team player who is also comfortable working independently.

- this role? 5-12 years of equities experience in an analytical role, on the buy-side or sell-side, or similar.
