• Originate and recommend equity investment ideas across global and GCC markets through fundamental research, valuation analysis, and market assessment, with defined investment theses, catalysts, risks, and entry and exit parameters.
• Maintain a forward-looking idea pipeline aligned to market conditions and approved investment mandates.
• Support portfolio construction by providing sizing recommendations, scenario and sensitivity analysis, correlation and overlap assessments, and assistance with trade execution and lifecycle management.
• Ensure portfolio oversight and strategy implementation in line with approved mandates, risk limits, and governance requirements.
• Analyse equity-linked derivatives structures including payoff profiles, option characteristics, and execution considerations, and contribute to hedging, income enhancement, and risk mitigation overlays.
• Develop and maintain institutional-grade financial models including three-statement models, valuation frameworks, and advanced Excel-based dashboards.
• Apply quantitative techniques and coding capability to support idea screening, factor analysis, and basic back-testing through automated workflows and data processes.
• Collaborate with technology and operations teams to improve research efficiency and scalability.
• Monitor portfolio positions and watchlists, tracking performance, news flow, factor exposures, and drawdown thresholds, and support stress testing and performance attribution.
• Escalate material issues promptly to maintain risk discipline and alignment with portfolio objectives.
• Ensure all research outputs, investment recommendations, and trading support activities comply with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including documentation standards, audit readiness, and information barrier adherence.
• Set individual objectives for team members, manage performance, and provide formal and informal feedback.
• Contribute to budget preparation and monitor financial performance against plan.
• Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures, and processes.
• At least 8 years of experience in public equity research, investing, or portfolio support within a banking, asset management, or institutional investment environment.
• Demonstrated exposure to global and GCC equity markets, portfolio construction, performance analysis, and risk monitoring within an institutional investment framework.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• CFA, FRM, or equivalent qualification preferred.
